Girls not using Inner Envelopes

Girls not using Inner Envelopes

How are you addressing the Outer Envelope for single people invited with a guest?

I know technically it's supposed to be:

Ms. Jane Smith

and then on the Inner Envelope

Jane Smith and Guest

So, if I am not doing Inner envelopes, it's ok to just put:

Ms. Jane Smith and Guest

or should I do:

Ms. Jane Smith

and indicate on the RSVP card:

There are ___ seats reserved for you. and fill in the number when I get them.

Sorry if this was confusing LOL... TIA!

yeah, i think that's fine. i'm not getting inner envelopes and that's what i planned on doing.

ETA: i didn't really answer your questions.

i would just say 'Ms. Jane Smith and Guest' on the outer envelope. THat's what i plan on doing.

I would write Ms. Jane Smith only....then write ___ seats reserved for you. Do you know this guests name?

well the guests names that I do know (like people who have actual BF's and GFs) I am going to write their names. I'm talking mostly for completely single people that I don't know what guest they will be bringing.

I actually think I am leaning more towards the 'seats saved' thing on the RSVP card too, not just for this case, but for certain cases where I am inviting family members, but not the children. This would be a good way for me to indicate that the invite is meant only for them and not the entire family.

Thanks girls!

I would go out of my way to find out what the guests name would be, and if not well thenmaybe just do the numbers on the rsvp card.

Ditto. Unless I knew the guest's name. Then I put the guest's actual name.

I just included 'and guest' on the outer envelope. No one seemed to care, haha.

I did Ms. Jane Smith and Guest on the outer envelope, because I didn't have inner envelopes either.
