ok girls its time to buckle down and start booking some vendors so I need some help because FH thinks the magic money fairy is gonna pay for all this... so first off how much is a dj supposed to cost ?? Does anyone know an inexpensive one???? WHY DON'T THEY PUT PRICING ON THEIR WEBSITES???????

they don't put pricing on their web site probably because they want you to come in to the office so they can charm the money out of your pocket...

You can get a good DJ for between 1000 and 1200. Some are more and some are less but I think that this is the standard. FH and I are paying 1845 this includes all of the extras.

I am using 12th night for photo... prices great... and really nice guy! My mom is a wedding photographer in FL and she thought he had the best work!
DJ: I am using Music By Michael, not the cheepest but really nice guy and worth the extra money! The DJ will run the reception so I wanted someone with personality and who seemed really organized. He gave us a handbook to set up everything!
Dresses: I have been to the Commack Wedding Center... service not the best... you are not really catered to there as you are at the fancy bridal salons but the prices can't be beat.

Body Rock. They are really awesome. I see that you are getting married at Westbury Manor...They are a Scotto recommended vendor. Just a side note...My sister got married at Westbury Manor in April....The place is Beautiful!!!!

Our is costing us $2225 That includes cocktail hour music, 4 hr reception, 10' light show, MD & DJ
We are using Tommy Tunes
Here are some of their other packages:
Basic Entertainment : $1295 This includes 4 hrs of music and MC/DJ in one.
Deluxe Package: $1795 4 hrs of music, DJ and MC
Supreme Package $2295 5 hrs of music with MC and DJ, 10' light show and 200 party props
and so on and so forth... there most expensive package is $5250 (has it all)

If you are looking for an affordable photographer I have also heard great things about Duet. They do great work (from the photos I have seen on here) and they appear to be very reasonable priced.

Get In Tune & Steven Charles Entertainment are pretty reasonable.....most djs will go over pricing over the phone with you. Alot of the extra cost has to do with the light show.

I am using Body Rock who are great. A little pricey but we added things. I went to a few weddings with them as the dj-all awesome
