I edited my entire post b/c this is getting ridiculous.
whether or not anyone was being addressed for specific alleged meaness it doesn't matter.
there a few few people I can speak for with regard to maliciousness/animosity.
but to my knowlege, it doesn't happen here.
do we joke around...yes...do we sometimes get carried away...perhaps.
but is it intentional to hurt people...NO. half the time we've gone way beyond the original post and start talking about random sh1t,
we are silly, snarky, and snide...but we do it with love.
I can't believe it's even come to this.

For me, if I don't like something, I avoid it. I don't run to it and mock it because it is the way it is. Do you frequent the TTC board on LIF? Probably not. Why? Because it doesn't apply to you. The girls on TTC aren't exclusionary if you are chosing to avoid that board because it isn't part of your life.
the difference is this: everyone is friends here. and i know that I would want anyone I am friendly with comfortable enough to post where I post.
this isn't a high school clique either. friends should be able to call each other on their sh1t. sometimes you need a little waking up.
eta: I DO frequent the TTC boards, the preggo board, the home board..the infertility board...b/c my girls are on those boards..and I like to check in on them.

I thought about this while I was out getting lunch.
We are all friendly here on some level - we're at the point where most of us aren't just faceless screen names. I feel like I know when you're all kidding around and when you're not. No one should feel uncomfortable posting here - good or bad, we should all be able to discuss everything freely because this is really 'our' place to do it.

Ah sh*t. I went away for a while, partly because I didn't want to say anything I'd regreat, partly because work required it... And I come back to all this.

Thank you for saying what you mean, and being honest. Good and bad. Because I like it when everyone says exactly what they think. No use in beating around the bush here.
Like some of you said, and what I was trying to get across before, I have felt like you knew me well enough to 'get' me and my joking. So thanks for that too. And thanks to you who said so, it means a lot to me.
But qdavis doesn't necessarily 'get' me and I could understand how what I said could be construed as hurtful. qdavis, to you, I am sorry for being mean spirited. There is a history here of NWR being a dumping ground for every thread that doesn't belong somewhere else. We have fun with them. I thought that's what I was doing. Many people disagreed or just don't know me well enough to see that.
I'm being general because there have been so many posts since the last time I posted... So sorry if I didn't address you directly.
I also think it's better that I didn't address some posts directly, in the interests of getting NWR back to it's normally scheduled programming.
