Girls that ARE changing out of their dress and LEAVING the wedding in SOMETHING ELSE..
Original post by JessicaM.
give me the details. I really want to change into another outfit for the after party. debating a few things...including another dress. what are you doing?
If you are STAYING in your dress, that's great...but on this thread I am looking for ALTERNATIVES to that wonderful idea. If you have any, please feel free to post them! thanks!

I know what you mean about low cuts!!!!! There is a beautiful low cut halter Vera Wang BM dress.
Here is the link: http://www.verawang.com/maids/fulllength
It's number 19 of 47 in the full length Maids section.
It was my #2 choice for BM, and I think it comes in white or ivory. I would love it for my RD but it is more appropriate for an after party dress.

I'm changing dresses for the reception. Because my ceremony dress will be very uncomfortable. I'm altering my old prom dress which is a ball gown but its being altered so nothing will drag. I figured it would be a good way to rewear it again. I love that dress!

Im not changing but I love the idea. How about a simple white dress that is comfortable and elegant. I like these:

I am toying with this idea too. I definitely want to be more comfortable and we are having an after party. Not sure what to wear though-something white (after all I am still the bride ) and probably from J crew or Anne Taylor?

I am not sure if I will be changing - my dress is pretty simple, but I am afraid I will spill something on it or fall in the pool or something
Possibilities from Nordstroms:
I hate to buy another white dress that I will never wear again though. But it is my one day in life to wear white

I would wear that dress everyday if it were in my possession.

I am thinking about it.. since the wedding is over at 5:30, I want to do something later in the evening with my close friends at the bar in the hotel. Which come to think of it, I need to start another thread cause I have a Q.

Okay, my FH and I are both changing after the reception to run to the car and leave.
He's wearing nice jeans and an orange (matches our colors) shirt. I'm wearing white roll up capris and an orange and white and yellow polo.

I am 1/4 chinese, I wanted to do something special for that part of my family and was thinking of changing into one of those traditional chinese wedding dress things. What do you guys think? And where would i get one of those things? Lol.

My FH is Chinese and I am changing into a traditional 'cheong sam' during the reception. You can get them in Chinatown. There are specialty shops. I am going with my FMIL to buy my dress next week.
