I was just trying to see how the pillar candles will look in the hurricane vases and noticed that they dont stand straight!!!!! Did that happen to anyone else???? I plan to put the glass marbles in them but, I dont know if that helps to make them stand straight!!!

I never did this for a CP, but I know if you melt the bottom of the candle and then put it in while the wax is still wet, it will stick to the bottom.

You can fill the bottom with something to hold them up straight, sand, marbles, for us we did petals in the hurricanes so it helped a little bit

I did the hurricaine with the candle. My theme was waterfront or beach so I was using sand at the base. I tried melting some was or using the hot glue gun....worked ok but intransit they would seperate. I got some styrofoam and cut to fit the bottom of the hurricaine and cut a hole for the candle to fit. I was able to camoflage the foam with the sand and you would never know. I then put shells on top of the sand. I don't have pics with me now....I am still at work. But I came home with a cp after the wedding I can take a pic and post if you like. Don't know if it help much if you are using marbles.
