Girls that had a Mass...

What time did you finish with the Church??

I have a 2:30 Church and I want to sched. my Old Westbury Garden time. My photographer mentioned not getting out until 4 by the time the Mass and recession line is over. Past brides do you know??

I'd like to know too. My mass is at 3pm and I'd like to think we'd be back in the limo leaving at 4:15. Is that possible?

Your photographer is right, most likely you won't get back into the limo until about 4.
I had a 2:30 full mass, but decided to pass on a formal receiving line in order to give us more time for pictures. After DH and I walked down the aisle we continued around the side entrance of the church ,We took a few pictures inside as people were leaving, then we came out and they threw our rice 'stuff'. We then greeted our family and friends outside. Not every person in the church, it saved about 25-30 minutes. We were able to greet everyone at the CH, it worked out fine and we were in the limo by 3:40. With a receiving line it would have been 4:00 or 4:10.

we're having a full mass and decided against a receiving line to save time. we'll just greet everyone at the hall

So i guess you have to figure an hour and a half

Factor in if you want a receiving line. Most masses will be about an hour, give or take, then if you have a receiving line, maybe another half hour. If you have a lot of guests coming to the church, it may be 45 minutes to an additional hour, making it two.

We decided on the Receiving line as we wanted to greet as many as possible so we can leave some more time for enjoying the reception. Since we're getting married on a Friday, we believe only immediate family and close relatives will take the day off to go to the church, so we factored about an hour and a half. HTHS!
