When does family photos take place during the reception?? I really don't want to miss cocktail hour.. when would be a good time to do this??

I was just at a wedding where in the invitation, there was a little note that read something like 'please remain at the church for a family portrait' so we did it right there. before the reception.
but are you getting married at your RH?

I am getting married at the church..
That's a good idea though b/c I don't want to miss any of my reception...
Mabye we could ask aunts/uncles/cousins etc to come 1/2 before cocktail hr for family pictures

it actually worked out really well (I think anyway) bc it was done and we didn't have to think at all after the church. plus we were able to hang out with each other a bit before leaving.......

we did all our pics during cocktail hr, like with the bp and parents and we still got to enjoy half of ch.
