we have done both- its so much fun as a group- but dh and I always seem to meet people when we travel- and even on our honeymoon- we met another couple and hung out with them
ive done both, but honestly i preferred alone..

I just got back from one and it was the most amazing vacation I've ever been on!!! We've never been closer and it was such a surprise that it took us to a different level with one another. We went away for about two weeks and part of that was road trip although we stopped and visited family and weren't isolated. But being able to turn off our phones on the cruise and enjoy each other alone and not wedding plan and not get calls asking questions was this nirvanic break from reality!

we went alone for our honeymoon -- we did the daytime island stuff alone but made firends w/ the couples that sat at our table in the dining room and hung out w/ them at night...
I thought were were more inclined to meet peopel being that it was just us...if you're in a group, you tend to stick w/ your group... so if you are social people that love meeting new people, why not go just the 2 of you?

That's what I'm thinking...we are both very friendly, and always make friends on vacay.

For us, our vacation time is for us to be alone. We enjoy spending the uninterrupted time together and not having to worry about other peoples' preferences/schedules. FH and I went on a cruise in December and had a great time! We still sat with other couples at dinner, and stuff, but it's easier to choose what time we should eat lunch or what we should do today if it's just the 2 of us who have to agree.
