When you painted them, did you use that stuff that makes them shiny? Shlack, sp?
Im using the regular wood ones, not the whites wood.

I just got primer spray for the WE DO letters. I was told u have to prime it first. Michael's has different sprays to finish it with, to make it glossy/matte.
