Girls that have made WE DO letters

When you painted them, did you use that stuff that makes them shiny? Shlack, sp?
Im using the regular wood ones, not the whites wood.

I used Modge podge that has sparkles in it. I thought it finished them off. Pics in album.

Thanks for sharing your photos and ideas! I just painted my letters last night with cobalt blue, gave them a second coat tonight, and will probably do the sparkly modge-podge thing too.

Here's a really bad pic from my camera phone, makes the blue look totally black...... I tried to paint the beveled edges with silver, let it dry on 1 letter, but didn't like the way it came out. So I just painted everything blue. I'm hoping the sparkly top coat will make them pop a bit more. They're too 'flat' right now.
