girls that have the Japanese straightend hair questionfor you-

HI my friend had her hair done a while ago and is ready for a touchup.

The place she went to said that they were going to do the roots and leave the solution for 5 min. only on the parts they already did.

I was under the impression that only the roots were supposed to be done.
DO you know what is the right way to do this?

Where do you recommend going for this that won't break the bank?

She's afraid to go back to this place.

I first had mine done in April 2004...You should go for a touch up in 6 months..I didn't have the $$ so I went this past January...They re-did the whole process again...I never heard of just doing the roots. I go to AF bennett in Staten Island..I love it there. I just hate the process. It takes a long time (about 6 hrs)

i have been getting it done for 4 years now. they are only supposed to do the roots!!! i went to a new place this last time and she did everything and my hair looks frizzy becuase of it

I go every 6 months...actually just had it done again last Friday and they only did the roots. They put a protectant solution on the rest of the hair.

Chloe, where so you get yours done and by who?

Is it SUPER Expensive?

I have my friend on the phone and she liked that idea of the protective coatinmg

I get it done at a japanese salon Sei Tomoko on the lower west side...W4th and 6th ave. I have the number at home...let me know if you want it.

What I love about them is they don't use the straightening iron they use a weird brush and blower thing that doesn't damage your hair like the iron.
