Indoors?? Maybe one of the Historical houses in Smithtown? We just had a mini g2g at Butera's in Smithtown, they have a really cool Tuscan feel inside ...

We're pretty much only coming up with restaurants and bars ...

Cafe Havana is a really nice restaurant
Katies is a cool bar with a mystery of being haunted (I figure ghosts is FAR from traditional for a wedding )

Otherwise, I think we are striking out here ... Most of the sites in the Smithtown area are historical, you know?

I know this sounds really weird, but there is a sushi/hibachi spot in Smithtown that looks SICK inside ... it looks like a modern club inside of a cave (for lack of a better description). I know, I keep picking restaurants, but it's really all I know, besides outdoor photo spots.

The sushi bar is Hotoke Sushi and Steakhouse. It's on route 111, just south of Main St.

There is also Nisen Sushi in Commack. They just look like a really upscale club.

As for outdoor locations, there is Short Beach and Long Beach. Short beach is kind of rocky, but it has kind of a cool cliff, and if you walk long enough, you can overlook the Kings Park bluff. It's really pretty there!

the stony brook duck pond is right between smithtown and port jeff. with avalon gardens behind it.

the pier in port jefferson..down by the docks.

those 2 are my favorite places (I took my engagement pictures at the stony brook duck pond - if you're my facebook friend I have them in an album - not only is there a pond but a small waterfall and bridge, etc.)

i havent been to the stony brook duck pond in years but i remember it being soooo nice! thats a great place!!

ive seen pics in bowling alleys which is a cute idea too

I live in that area so I'll keep an eye out for places

lol maybe I'll see you there! When my dog is done getting his hair cut, me and him have a date to go hiking the trails behind the pond.

and no my 'dog' is not a euphemism for 'husband'. I literally mean my poodle dog.

Hehe, it took us FOREVER to try to find the pond! We then got lost within that area and the woods lol such a beautiful area!

I think we've decided on our outdoor place - Northport Harbor! LOVED it there. Now just need to find an indoor place. Vanderbilt Museum was gorgeous, but I'm not okay with paying money to takke pics there...Sigh. Praying that it doesn't rain!!!
