I believe Santo Domingo is on teh other side of the island. We flew right into Punta Cana, ad had a luxury bus drive us to our hotel. It was part of our pacakge.

Re: Girls that went to Punta Cana
we flew into Punta Cana....Santo Domingo is the capital and AT LEAST an hrs drive to Punta Cana with no stops (being dropped off from the airport, you are bound to make stops at all the hotels)......if I recall correctly...the Excursion from SECRETS in Punta Cana to Santo Domingo was an all day excursion and I think they said it could be a 3 hr ride--I could be wrong though)
