I'm pretty sure mine is 4-4.5'. I didnt want it to look too big on the cake. I've seen that before and I hate how it looks!

Our top cake layer was an 8' square. They recommend UP to a 6' single monogram letter for that size cake. I used 5.5' and it was good.

i heard 4-5 inches should be good on most average layered cakes

Top cake layer was 8' square cake.
Monogram initial was 5.5'.
