To ensure that your bra stays in place while under your wedding dress... I was thinking about using double sided tape or leaving the straps in place then taking them off...

You can get one of those super duper strapless brad that extend down to your waste - those suckers usually stay put!

They're velcro-ing my long line bra to my dress so I can easily remove it and reuse it after the wedding.

I would be cautious about doing this...The day of my wedding my dress was too big (even though my last fitting was 4 days before my wedding...I lose weight when I am stressed!) I was able to have the bridal attendant safety pin my dress to my long line bra to keep my dress in place. If my bra had been sewn in it would have been a disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you buy the proper bra it should not move. Go and get a professional bra fitting and have the person recommend a bra for you dress. I like Orchard Corset on the lower east side. If you bring them a picture of you dress they will help you pick the right bra for it.
