Girls who are already married....

Was wondering, which vendor, if any, did you splurge on? was it worth it? Or which did you not care as much about, but wish you had? Just curious. TIA.

definitely my photographer (FRANKLIN SQUARE PHOTOGRAPHERS) They were pricy, but SO WORTH IT!....I can't wait to get my video and albums....i had my proofs ready in an album when i got back from my honeymoon, and my thank-you's were in a week after i picked it out.

AMAZING!!!

We splurged on our RH...the food and service were amazing there. After that, we spent a little more on our photographer. Your photos are your memories...definitely don't cut corners on your photographer to save money, because you may regret it later when the wedding is over and you are looking at them!!! Unfortunately I have read a few posts and know two girls who have been regretful after the wedding about their photography, and it was too late. It doesn't mean you have to break the bank...it just means that if you are on a budget, don't make your photography the area where you will try to cut corners...there are many other areas to cut corners that won't impact your memories of your wedding. :)

FS photo is amazing. They did my brother's wedding in 2007 and they were the only photographer I looked at for mine because I loved their work. Their albums are beautiful and their video is great. I can't wait for mine.....although I still have 13 months to go.

i have to be honest... we didnt really 'splurge' on anything... we got married @ an all inclusive RH so everything was included... of course we upgraded some of the vendors - so i guess that was our 'splurge' lol

we just did research and made sure that all our vendors were good and were to our liking.... and everyone said it was the best wedding they ever went to!!

BUT i'd say if you were going to splurge, i'd say splurge on a photographer or RH

ETA: we REALLY splurged on our HM

Uhm, I'd say we spent a little more on our photog and even he wasn't that expensive. We got amazing pics that I still can't stop looking at.

I would say video-and no dont regret it, 110% happy with that decision, he was amazing

i was goin to say photo which was my favorite vendor but i wouldnt say splurge bc it was about what i expected to pay for photographer. Video was more than alot of other videographers

This was our case as well. I did a lot of research and all my vendors were fantastic.

Looking back I regret not splurging on my dress. I loved the dress I went with but there was another dress that I really really wanted but it was thousands of dollars more.

We splurged on our honeymoon and that was worth every penny.

We splurged on the Band. we spent a ridiculous amount on the band b/c we knew entertainment was a very important part of the night. I'm so incredibly glad we did b/c they were amazing and I have my guests still commenting on how wonderful they were

Re: Girls who are already married....

I guess in a sense we splurged on the important things to us at least....
THE PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEO (these are the memories you will have you want them documented well)
THE ENTERTAINMENT this makes or breaks your event you want it to be what you want and your guests to have a great time as you do!
THE HALL/ FLOWERS your place should be photogentic... we had the ceremony and reception at our hall. Wedding was out side thank goodness surprisingly it was BEAUTIFUL day on 10-26 in NY go figure.
and the decor... you may not have to spend much on your flowers there are some tricks you can do to make it seem more but not spend a lot.
But the food you want to make sure eeryone has enough to eat and once they do they will just be on the dance floor having a great time along with you and your husband

so photos/video , hall and entertainment

and we were happy with the above 3 well worth it.

We splurged on our photographer and caterer.
We didn't splurge on small upgrades that no one notices like fancy tablecloths and my wedding shoes.
