Girls who are already married...last few days before wedding timeline question

Girls who are already married...last few days before wedding timeline question

I'm trying to figure out if it would be really stupid of me and cause uneccessary stress to schedule one last makeup trial the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding.

I was supposed to get a second trial to play with the color palette the day of my epics, but it got cancelled, and I figured that the original trial would suffice, but I'd really not start playing with ideas the morning of.

The Wednesday before (12/2), I need to go to my florist to drop off our final payment, and the boxes upon boxes of CPs and candles, The makeup trial, if I'm even able to get one for that day, is just a quick shoot down 110 in the other direction, so wouldn't be too inconvenient to get to if I'm in the general area anyways.

But for the girls that already went through it, are the last few days leading up to the wedding going to be so hectic and stressful that I would be stupid to schedule yet another appointment? Should I just take that extra time to rest and get my stuff together?

I would think it could only be a good thing to have one last trial just a few days before the wedding so everything is fresh in my artist's mind...but I don't want to cause more stress with too many appointments/running around.

What would you do/did you do?

hmm... so... i am someone who needs to know that i am comfortable with my hair / makeup and when it doesn't get done 100% the way i wanted i get super self conscience about it. i wasn't TOO stressed the couple days before, and you will have to look at these pictures forever and ever. my personal opinion - if you have the time and it doesn't mess you up too much to get there, do it.

How many days are you off of work before the wedding? I think that's the biggest difference.

I took off Wed - Fri before the wedding, and it was tons of time to do everything (and if you recall, I lived in Brooklyn at the time, so I was running back and forth to Farmingdale where my mom and aunt were prepping for her kidney transplant, as well as Jericho and Melville). I just made sure to get the OOT bags all prepped the weekend before and put everything in labeled bags for the RH the week before. I went by the florist Wednesday and had all the time to play around and jet all over the place.

I *think* you'll be fine if you want to schedule it for one of those days. It could be a relaxing experience, too!

I actually went to my person that thursday before the wedding because my hair color had changed from when I did my trial. It worked out because it was my RD and she did my hair for that. If you want to make sure your happy I would do another trial.

I know I haven't been through it before... but I think it's possible.
I am probably going to schedule a hair trial the Wed before my Fri wedding. I also took off the entire week of my wedding... but I have LOTS AND LOTS to do!!!

I'm off the Wed-Fri before hand, so I *should* be ok...the only two major things besides the trial if I do it would be the final payment/dropping off of CPs to the florist on Wednesday, and bringing all the stuff to the RH, which can only be done the Mon-Thursday of that week. Friday I want to just SLEEP. And groom/primp/etc.

I mean, I loved my hair, and my makeup too. The color palette was just a little more natural than I'm used to, especially because I do wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis, so I want my day-of look to be at least more dramatic than that. I think I'll try to get a trial for that day.

I can't answer on the makeup, but I can tell you what my schedule looked like.

The Wed before my Sat wedding I found I had a thousand last minute things to do. I was running around all day long. I had things to fix, had to finish projects, got my spray tan, it was crazy.

Thursday I brought all the boxes to my RH. It actually took me about 2 hours because I walked them through EVERYTHING.

Hope that helps at all.

I didn't have any trials for my makeup. But I use my girl all the time and knew she would make me look the best I could. I didn't event tell her what colors to use.

My last few days were soooo hectic! But I packed soo many things in. Also I nothing was close to where I was living.
FHs tux was at Barneys in NYC. The Reception Hall (which I made like 4 trips to the week of) was over an hour away. My dress was over an hour away. So that totally bit into my time....I was also running to our new apartment trying to get things set up there.

So yeah... it was hectic but if you think you can spare a few hours then do it.
