Girls who are changing there name...

If you lease your car, and went to DMV, did they ask you for your title of your car?

hmmm...

Do you have the title?

My guess is that the title is in your creditors name so it's not necessary for you to change it. Just bring your reggie to change your name on that.

Use MV-82 to change the registration.

I dont lease my car but they did ask for the title.

If you lease your car you dont get a title. (At least they didn't give it to me).

Well be prepared!!

I went to the DMV for the second time. First today they tell me they cant change my license because there machine is down.

Then i said ok can we do the registration. Yes. So i give them that form. they tell me 'oh you need your title to your care' so i say i lease i dont have the title. So they say i need it. So i had to call my car company. they tell me DMV has to file a form and send it to them they will then send the DMV the title.

This is insane. I am about to loose it already..

Why is this so hard and why is everyone at DMV so rude!!!! like this was my second time there. I am about to not change my name cause of this hassel.

Go to a diff DMV.

Just give them the MV-82, the reggie, and your marriage cert...

Call DMV first too - see what they say.

Yeah maybe ill try the one in Huntington.

I think if you are leasing you dont need the title. When I went I didnt have my title, she said well are you leasing the car I told her no, and she said well then you have to bring the title. If you are financing your car you should still have the title, there will just be a lien holder on it.

we are leasing my car and i am so happy dh made me put it in his name, so i didnt have to deal with any of that
