Girls who are getting/got nail extensions for your wedding...

Like silk wraps or Acrylic...how far before the wedding did you put them on? I wore silk wraps for years but I took them off once FH and I got engaged to save money. I am definately putting them back on for the wedding. Should I wait till next month and get a fill or two before the wedding?

good question.. i havent worn tips in so long..
i wonder if I should start now too.. and do silk or acrylic..

I think Im going with Acrylic this time just cause we'll be swimming in the pool and in the ocean on our honeymoon and I know they last longer

are you going to do the forever french thing with the permanent white tip on it? or not do french at all?

yeah, Im doing permanency french..this way I dont have to worry about it chipping

I would say get them on a month before and then have 1-2 fillings before the wedding...I always found they looked weird right after I got them on

Ok....didn't see that you were doing perm french...I have that too....I think I got a new set of perm french a month before the wedding.....which is I guess the same thing as I just told you about the reg silk wraps

I got my permanent French set done about a week and 1/2 before and then the day before my wedding I had them cut a little bit and then get a glue/gel manicure.

I like my nails short so if I would have gotten them too far in advance they would have grown too long for me and I would have ended up cutting the white off too much and would have been too thin!

I would do them like a month before, they always look better after a couple of fill in's (more natural)

I got mine the day before. But that is because I wanted to go to Nothing But the Best and not get them done on Staten Island (where I live)

My sister, my SIL and I got ours done the afternoon before and it was fun to relax and hang out with them. My little SIL was so cute b/c she was so impressed with a 'real' spa, not just the little place by her house.

I did get my pedicure the Monday before my wedding. My DH got a mani/pedi that day too (even tho there was a post recently about how that is creepy. HA!)

that's a great question! I was trying to grow my longer, but now that I am trying they are breaking A month ago they looked great! So I am not going to bother stresssing about it anymore and I guess I am planning on getting tips in about 2 weeks. Then I'll do a fill in the day before.
