Girls who did donations instead of favors

We are going to write up something saying in lieu of favors we did a donation and blow it up and put it in a frame by the placecards ...........

What is something you wrote ??

I dont know how to word it all and make it sound nice. I dont want to just write 3 lines

depending on where you are donating, maybe you can use a quote

for my shower, my MOH did donations to disabled veterans and she found a really great quote about giving from an old colonel.

mine is 3 lines so i can't help too much ... but if you donated to that charity for a reason, you should write about it (for example, if you have cancer in the family and donated towards that, you can say that)

We're doing a donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. I'm actually making bookmarks with the following:

In lieu of favors,
The Bride and Groom
have made a donation
to the
Susan G Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation

In loving memory of

Ruth XX

and

Jill XX

Then on the backside of the bookmark we're writing our new married names with our wedding date. (I also added to the front the Susan G Komen logo, and a pink ribbon image to the back.)

I'm printing them, then laminating, then hole punching to add a bookmark hot pink tassel!

We are donating to the American Cancer Society.

I printed scrolls and tied gold ribbon around them for each place setting.
They Read:

In leiu of a traditional favor we have made a donation to the american cancer society. This donation will help cancer awareness and research. The best gift is to give to others. Let us remember those who have passed and celebrate those who have survived. Hope and dream for a cure!
