I have precana this weekend at St. Pats. What should I expect??

Some people say its fun others say its boring

I think it's going to depend on a) the couple running it and b) your disposition going into it.

If you're going in saying this is going to suck and it's long and it's boring... that's probbaly how it's going to be. But if you go in with an open mind and the people running it are nice and friendly, it won't be so bad. Some of it was enlightening.

Honestly. FH and I were mostly bored due to the fact that most of the couples that talked in front of us flat out told us they were 'unprepared'. It seemed like everyone that was there to teach the class was the back up person that found out at the last minute they had to do the class.

But , FH and I kept ourselves entertained in our own way and we finished the classes and got our certificate

We did ours at St pats and loved it!! Be open minded and answer the questions truthfully ...

It was ok, but since we had lived together for so long and gone through a bunch of stuff (health scares, FH getting laid off, etc) we had really discussed, fought about, and resolved a lot of the issues that the couples leading it were trying to warn us about

We were kind of bored, but it did give us a nice quiet place to discuss things again

this is precisely the reason is was kind of boring to us. We've pretty much already discussed everything they were talking about in the class. I agree though, it was a good time to bring some stuff to the surface again to reevaluate past stuff.

We thought it was going to be horrible but it turned out to not be so bad. We had to meet with the host couple and three other couples three times. It did bring up some things we've never discussed. My FH was against doing it but after it was done he told me it wasn't that bad.

I think really depends on who your host couple is and if they are outgoing or not.

we really loved our precana experience! the 2 couples who hosed it were really great and insightful! we had our last session on sunday where we exchanged gifts for each other- it was really special. and this sunday we have mass and then a dinner with all precana couples and our extended families... fh isnt into that stuff- but he really liked it! it made getting married in the church feel special!
