It depends on what font you use. Most fonts are different sizes from each other.
I believe I used 18 or 20.

Re: Girls who did their own envelopes...
I'm using Edwardian Script. I have printed out a sample in size 30. Not sure if it's too big. I look at samples done by companies and they are huge. Stacey04-What font did you use?
Thanks!

Re: Girls who did their own envelopes...
I think we ended up with 18 or 20 for the address and a somewhat smaller size for our return address.

Re: Girls who did their own envelopes...
Thanks ladies! Out of everyone's responses... I used size 26 on a 7.5' x 7.5' envelope.
I'm glad I did it myself..all done in one night and saved some money too!!

Re: Girls who did their own envelopes...
No longer doing them on our own since the company will address them for about 50 cents each but this is a link to some fonts I tried out.
We used Pristina in I believe 18 or 20 also. It's an elegant font but not all swirly and fancy.
And I printed my names on clear labels - they looked just fine for us

Re: Girls who did their own envelopes...
i just attempted my 1st printing on the envelope. I used size 26 Edwardian Script. It came out great!! It's definitely not calligraphy but still has an elegant look.
very easy to do and definitely good for those on a budget

Re: Girls who did their own envelopes...
I used Edwardian Script size 30 and I LOVE them. I think they look professionally done. I used Taupe ink to match my cream and taupe invites.
I feel good that I saved 200 dollars not hiring a calligrapher.
