This is mine.
I had a hard time keeping the text straight. For the second half of the invites I used a ruler to draw a faint line as a guide line and erased it after the ink dried. Those came out much better.

i did mine with a laser printer

Love this font. I'm just working on my envelopes now. What size is the font? I think I want to use it and I like the size you used.

TIA!

the font size is 28.

ours were printed in Bickham to match our invites

i hand-addressed one, and it didn't come out so well... especially my capital D. would have done that one differently

Re: girls who did your own calligraphy...or addressed your own envelopes

I just did this over the 4th of July weekend.

I downloaded a font called SaffronToo (which looks just like Shelley Volante Script, our invitation font). I used our monogram for the background, layering the text boxes, then typed each address in black on top of it.

I've set up individual MS Word documents for all of the outer & inner envelopes on my computer. After I've proofed them all, then I'm going to print them, assembly line style.

And thanks to Lucamon, who suggested changing the printing settings so the text won't smudge. I set it to 'Heavy Envelope' and it printed nicely.

HTH!

ETA: (spelling) & I used a color laser printer.

How many do you have? ink spun does an amazing job for an amazing price-check out the website. It was so easy and would do it again in a heartbeat. I am using him for the place cards too.

Another good font to try is Lily Wang. I think it looks like it could be handwriting but still beautiful!

Lily Wang

I printed directly on to envelopes for eparty and plan to do the same for wedding invites. Just make sure to adjust your printer settings to the correct size and material (envelope instead of 'plain paper').

I used the large clear lables.....couldnt tell unless the light hit the edge of the label and i really dont think someone isnt going to come to the wedding if there is a label and not had calligraphy on it :)

I did mine myself with a calligriphy font that I downloaded from www.dafont.com.

It was not hard at all. They came out looking classy, neat and it was FREE.

Sorry, I can't post the pic. The calligraphy I used was called ChopinScript.

Did the same thing with Brock Script, thought they came out pretty good:

i did the same I printed them from my computer and used brock script

Yours look great!!! I want to us Bickham for lots of my stuff, its my favorite. A few quick quesitons. Where did you get the font from? Is it free or did you buy it?

Second, what size font did you use for the outside of the invitations? Did you use bold or regular?

I have found a few free bickham fonts but all of them have a different looking lower case Y, mine ends abruptly- yours is flowing. Can you help me find the version you used?

I had a fight with my laser printer over my envelopes, it was so mad at me it decided to only print one a time, instead of proper mail merge from my guests list database I properly set up!

Anyway, lesson learned is, test everything out before you go full speed. Test your printer against the envelope. Test with another printer, etc etc..

Measure twice cut once.

i actually used the same font i used on the invite and printed it in dark green ink on chartreuse mailing labels (did the same for the return address on the back, but used slightly bigger oval labels and sealed the envelopes with them). the envelopes were brown and the stamps were pink, so the whole thing went with out green, brown, and pink color scheme. i liked it. i don't have pics of the envelopes, but there are pics of the invites in my album.
