I have pretty nice nails...(I go for regular manicures...I don't like tips...etc..)
But my thumbs are all screwy (partially because I tend to chew on them...)
If I don't want to put tips, but I want them to look as nice as the other nails, what are my options? Do I even have any?

I had a silk extension put on for my wedding. I had made sure to take care of my nails and let them grow. The silk is natural feeling and is strong.

But that would mean you would have to grow out those thumb nails!

oh...i need a quick fix...so that they match the other nice 8 nails...what should i do? i guess i'll just leave them...and let them catch up... i'm not going to start with tips.

let them catch up, trim the others slowly until it's all caught up. Worse comes to worse you have to put a tip on

I had a problem with one of my thumbs being extremely short. When I went to get the permanent french done, she just put a finger guide on my finger and created a nail out of the powder. Once it set, it was as hard as any of the other nails and has been abused since then and is still fine. Maybe you can have that done just on your thumbs and you don't have to grow them out.

It's different because there's no fake nail glued on to your finger. It's similar in that it's not your natural nail and still needs to be soaked off at some point and may ruin the nail underneath.
