Girls who go to the gym

I have a question - where do you buy your active wear clothing? I was at Modell's and Old Navy yesterday and was only able to find a few cute tops and one pair of capris that I like.

I refuse to pay $50+ for one shirt and I feel like I'm so limited in my choices. Where are some other good (not too expensive) places to shop for gym clothes?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Girls who go to the gym

I got some great deals at the danskin outlet in riverhead. Also try target, they carry champion. Costco also carries danskin and addidas at times. I don't feel like old navy is real workout clothes.

Re: Girls who go to the gym

You can get some good buys at Sports Authority! If you look at the inside racks and stay away from some of the bigger brand names, they have some good finds!

I'm also really lucky and live in Boston right near the New Balance headquarters. There's an outlet store that rocks and has the most ridiculous deals!!

Thanks girls! I never even thought of Kohls or NY and Co.

Re: Girls who go to the gym

I buy mine from Target and Kohls. But I also have soooo many 'comfy pants' that are no longer suitable to wear any other place besides the gym.

NORDSTROM RACK at the source mall.

Re: Girls who go to the gym

I used to buy a lot of stuff at Target but now I buy champion sports bras there (the colored ones are awesome) and I stay away from the pants there because I found that some pairs don't always wash/dry well (others were fine).

I get track suits at NY & Co and oddly enough I've found a lot of nice activewear at BJ's from time to time pretty cheap and great quality! Also, victorias secret sweats are amazing especially if you get them from an outlet at a discount. Abercrombie makes nice workout stuff too but it's pricier than VS and in my opinion no better.

Re: Girls who go to the gym

I actually get a lot of my stuff at TJ MAX or sometimes filenes. . they have all the good brands for less (do I sound like a commercial?!) I go through soooo many workout clothes b/c i sweat a lot. . so I want good ones but not at full price. .so that works for me

Marshalls, TJ Max or Burlington are great for work out stuff.

Re: Girls who go to the gym

It depends on what kind of activity im doing...

If its just the gym and Im not killing myself then target and old navy.

If its running and training for something where I am in workout clothes for an extended period of time and need well fitting, comfy, wicking clothes then I go and spend the $$$$$ on the good stuff.

Usually I go to target, kohls, walmart and the nike outlet! Victorias secret has some workout things on sale right now!

Re: Girls who go to the gym

You can try Kohl's and Target as well. They have a ton of great stuff. I have the same problem with buying such expensive active wear so i really just buy things here and there when I can find them. Bob's is also great for exercise clothes. There's one in Selden on Middle Country Road and another in Patchogue on Sunrise Highway. They always have coupons too.

I agree with The TJ MAXX, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory-I wanted to add that you can also try Century 21-they have LOTS of good athletic wear and sportsbras

ITA. Love Sports Authority. If you get out of the city, Walmart also has some great options.
