For those of you who had a rainy day, where did you take your pictures? We are still hoping to take them at Avalon Park in Stony Brook, but they keep saying rain.

Don't worry about rain! It said I was having rain until that day!!!! The morning was a little overcast but as I was saying my vows the sun was shining!!! It ended up being perfect

Well, it poured on my day. We ended up taking all our pics at the RH. The weather is really the only thing you can't control, but you make the best of it.

it rained alllll day for us. My one piece of advice if you have to take indoor pictures....try to go by windows or doorways and try to use as much natural light as possible. Our photographer took a few of us right under the awning outside our RH and you can't even tell its raining behind us. It looks like a beautiful day! I wish the rest were like that! Here is an example:

There are so many stories like this. Unfortunately for me the weather said it would be sunny up until my day, rain rain rain and then sunny the day after....and they were right. It started raining as soon as i woke up and was still raining when DH and i left the RH. We woke up the next morning and it was sunny and beautiful. I'm not going to sugarcoat it......it ******! We had the most amazing day in the end, but it was not what i pictured at all. You just have to be prepared.

We took some pictures inside the RH, and once the rain let up slightly, we got a little wet and took some outside. They came out great! It didn't even look like it was raining. We also took some pics with the umbrella and they came out really cute.

Thanks...I actually ordered a pretty white umbrella for me, and a black one for my FH this way we have just in case.

i was originally planning on having my pictures done at the Holtsville Ecology Center. It's very beautiful over there. Maybe you could have that as a back-up? I'm not sure how far it is from you.

oh wow. I didn't even realized that you had to call and make an appointment with them. I didn't even consider them ever being 'booked'. lol. woops. Good thing I changed my mind about that, or I probably woulda had a nasty little surprise on my wedding day. (I'm going to be having my pics taken at the RH. As soon as I saw it the first time, I was hooked!)

We still took them at d Westbury Gardens but in the mansion...it was still beautiful...and of course we took some in Leonards

Hoping still for some sunshine Laura !!! No matter what our day will be wonderful !! We learned on Sunday that there is some big family day event at the Port Jeff Harbor and we picked East Beach as a second..if not WSCC

I am sure we will figure something out. I bought us all umbrellas, so even if we have to take them outside with the umbrellas, they will be nice.
