Girls who had FSILs as BMs...

Did they come to where you were getting ready for pictures/limo?

FMIL, god bless her soul, doesn't have a clue. My mother and I had a feeling that she just assumed FSIL would be with them the whole morning, and this was verified tonight. She was mentioning that she was going to call soon to make FSIL's hair appointment, and I said not to make it yet until I finalized a timeline of when everyone would need to be ready. I mentioned that FBIL will need to pick up the flowers anyways between 11:30 and 12:00 since I'm getting the delivery, and she calls to him in the other room 'You hear that? you need to pick up the bouts and (FSIL's) bouquet the day of the wedding'

Back. That. Train. Up.

I didn't say anything then. But she asked me to email her the list of people for the RD and the day of timeline within the next few days, and I'm going to address it then.

Am I being the inappropriate one here by taking her from her brother on his wedding day? Or is FMIL being the inappropriate one for splitting up the BP? In all honesty, she's in the BP because FH wanted her to be, so I kinda feel like well now what's the point of her being a BM, she shoulda just been his 'best woman'. And we only have a town car for pickup at their house because it's FH and only 3 GM, so there's not even room for her to go with them, so what, she's going to roll up in the chevy with mom and dad?

I had all of my FSILs in the bridal party...two of the three had their hair and make up done with the rest of us. DHs brother's wife did her own hair and make up and arrived at my mom's house about an hour before the photographer arrived.

I have both FSIL's as BM's. They are both meeting at my house with the rest of the girls with hair and makeup done(I have so many girls it's just easier for everyone to get everything done and then meet up.). In my opinion I would find it a bit odd if they wanted to get ready with FH and all the guys instead of the rest of the girls and me.

I made the best decision of my life not having FSIL in the BP.....considering we don't even speak at this point (drama = long story).

In any case, I would talk to FMIL and let her know your plans for the day with the girls getting ready along with the transportation set up.

FSIL had her hair and makeup done somewhere else, but she got to my house at the same time as one of my other BMs, so she was at my house for most of my getting ready and the pictures.

i was in my brothers wedding so therefore i was the FSIL at the time, and i actually slept over her parents house and got ready with everyone...
i would have everyone together.

I have one FSIL in my BP and she is staying over my house and having her hair done with me as well.

I am having my FSIL in the BP but she is coming to my parents house to get ready. Then my parents also offered for my FMIL to ride with us in the limo!

This is what my FSIL is planning to do! It works out better b/c it's a lot of girls for the hair lady I booked anyway...

I invited all the girls to sleep at my parents house the night before. SIL declined, but came over early the next morning and had her hair and makeup done with everyone at the house and was there for pics.
I was just in a wedding and all the girls met at the house the morning of right before the photographer was due to arrive. Either way, I would at least extend the invitation.

Yeah, my issue isn't that she must be there to get her hair and makeup done by my artist, I don't have a problem with the girls getting done elsewhere...in fact, like all of them are! My issue was more that FMIL legitimately thought that FSIL would be with them the whole morning, even as a a bridesmaid.

I just sent her an email with the timeline for the morning and my RD list...I must have said 20 times 'I would like all the girls at my house by 12:30 the latest...', 'FBIL can come to pick up the flowers/drop off FSIL by 12:00....'The photographer will be here around 12:45 to take pics of me and teh bridesmaids....', 'The limo will be here at 2:00 to take me and the bridesmaids to the church...'

I really don't know how much more blunt I could have been that these were all activities that invovles all the bridesmaids, and as long as she is one, I expect her to be there. This should be a fun response.

when my brother got married, my sister & i where bridesmaids. so what we did was get ready at home & my dad took pictures of us with my brother. then after that we went to SILs house & took pics with her & the rest of the bridal party.

My SIL was in the BP and got ready with us. However, she was from OOT and FIL and MIL brought her with them when they came to my parents so MIL could get her hair and makeup done.

Sorry you have to deal with this! I was always under the impresion that the girls are with the girls and the guys are with the guys, I did not even know there would be a question about this. I guess if they dont get the point of your email you are just going to have to say 'I need (FSIL) to be here at (Time) so she can be here to take pictures with all of the bridesmaids.'

what if you just made it all about the pictures? Like, I wouldn't not want you to be included because we'll have time to get a lot of bridesmaids shots!

I have three FSILs in my bridal party, and it really wasn't realistic for us all to be able to get ready at my mom's without hiring multiple hair people and being on top of each other. They are going to come over like around the same time the photographer arrives.

i''m a BM in my brother's wedding. Mom, my other SIL and I are getting ready at mom''s house with my brother, then we are getting to FSIL's house an hour before leaving for the ceremony. FSIL did not ask me to get ready at her house so we made other plans...
