its really just up to you
FH and i wanted to party, we wanted to just enjoy being with everyone. We wanted to save all that stuff for the wedding. so basically we didnt want the eparty to be like the wedding
so we choose not to do speechs, cutting cake ceremony. we didnt do the 'first dance' but we did do one dance in the middle together and called everyone to join us.
in the middle of our party my aunt made them play our wedding song and made us dance to it and I was really upset. I wanted to wait until the wedding. But it wasn't that bad, but if I could do it over, I wouldn't have done it.

we are having ours tom. and probably won't do an official first dance.. although i did ask the DJ to play a few slow songs..
my matron of honor said she may say a few things.. but it will be brief and not a big deal..
on the other hand my girlfriend's eparty was soo nice.. they had a 2 year engagement and they did a dance and cut the cake... the moh and BM made a Speech and it was very nice..
so i think it's just up to you. you can do it any way you'd like... I think a dance would be nice.. i don't see why you couldn't add it in there.. we just decided against it because we wanted as much time to party as possible and didn't want to cut into that with a lot of formal stuff..

We did NOT do it. Wanted to make the e-party as casual and comfortable as possible. It was great and had soooo much fun!

No we didnt. We are waiting for the wedding.
