We are having a dinner reception in a restaurant and now, three weeks before the wedding, I am contemplating a DJ. How does that work? Do they just set up in a corner? Does the volume overpower the space?? We werejust going to burn CDs with all of our favorite songs and play them over the restaurant's sound system, which is actually pretty good...
What would you do?? Need advice...

I hired a DJ, they were set up towards the front of the room, and it really made the party. I would consider it.

I put togther CDs of music we liked and that is what was playing.

I would just burn CD's and let the restaurant play them or even use an I-Pod. We have a Sound Dock and it's so great for parties. If you're having a dinner party, I wouldn't bother with paying for a DJ.
