girls who had their showers- what did you THINK was going on?
did FH trick you and ask you out to dinner? did mom trick you and invite you to a family party?
I figured mine out but I'm not sure what to do... so I wanna know what you ladies did.

I was told I was going out to lunch with the fam for my grandmas birthday. It was on her birthday so even though I was a little suspicious it could have been.
I was extra thrown off bc my dad told me he and my step-mom were going to the wineries for the day and I knew they wouldn't throw it without her.

umm I was suppose to go shopping for my bach party dress with my friend.. and we went to one store and then out to lunch.. The lunch just so happened to be my shower!! it worked out prefectly cause nothing was suspicious!!! lol.. And I was completely flooooored!!!!! had absolutely no idea.. I always thought it was goin to be in August cause thats what I was told. lol

Nope.. lol my mom 'picked something up for her' from me she had me sign a card and wrapped an empty box.

I think I figured out when my shower is.. but everyone is trying to throw me off and are doing a crappy job at it.. so I dont know how they're going to pull it off. lol

Nope.. lol my mom 'picked something up for her' from me she had me sign a card and wrapped an empty box.
dang! I obv figured mine out.. we were invited to my godfathers surprise party... I don't want anyone to know that I know (FH knows I know) so I don't want to show up empty handed and make it look like I knew, but at the same time, I dont want to waste money on a 'gift'. unless I buy something off my own registry for 'him'.
WHY couldn't they tell me we're going out to brunch for mine and FHs anniversary and my bro and sil's anniversary! see, that I would have been a GREAT idea!

My family said they were having a st. patrick's day party. although i already knew it was my shower i went along with it and wore green and everything.

I went to work (party) lol. It was an actual party so I worked the typical 1st hour then Fh showed up before cocktail and told me he was bringing me to my shower.

no, his birthday is in september. and i usually don't see him till around christmas.

We were supposedly going to a baby shower...my mom and I picked out a gift, DH wrapped it and I carried it right in to my shower lol

I had a really good idea of when my shower was going to be. But my sister & cousins told me that we where going out for my cousins birthday, which was within a couple of days of my shower. DH even complained about having to go out to dinner. I even went as far as calling the restaurant to see if they had something on the menu DH would eat. & yes I did bring a gift for my cousin.

first of all, i thought my shower was going to be 7/31 - my MOH and I have our birthdays 10 days apart and she kept insisting that we have a joint birthday party at my mom's pool on that day. so i was convinced that it had to be my shower - why else would she keep pestering me about this alleged birthday party?!
anyway, 7/11 came and FH and i were going to my grandparent's 60th anniversary party (which i know was coming up on 7/14), so i didn't think twice about my shower being that day. when we got to the restaurant, my whole family was there - aunts, uncles, cousins - again, no reason to suspect anything suspicious was going on.
well next thing i knew, when we walked in, there were all of the women closest to me right there in the restaurant - it was my shower! i was so thrown off, i started crying on the spot from being so shocked. they got me goood....
ETA: it was my grandparent's 59th anniversary

I thought I was going to my Aunt & Uncles 30th Anniversary party. The night before the party I spent like an hour at my parents house assembling a wine basket for them I'm sure they were all cracking up at me since I obviously wasn't really going to that party

my birthday is july 8 and the shower was july 11.. i didnt see my parents for my birthday and we usually do something so i thought we were going to my mom's for my bday bbq....it was perfect. ui really was 100% surprised...i was soooo sure it was july 23. hahahah sooo funny.
i walked in and said 'is this my shower?' I was sooo confused. my uncle was like, 'No, it's your sweet 16.' hahahah

I actually thought my mom and I were going to the bridal store to see my dress when it came in. Then on the way she said she was starving and wanted to grab a bite to eat...we went into an Italian restaurant and- surprise! I really had no idea. I was convinced it was the weekend after.
