And I didn't see the Trevi FOuntain on your list!!! If I'm remembering correctly it's within walking distance from the Pantheon (and there is a really good gelato shop right over there)
You have to throw coins in over your shoulder for good luck!!!
are you talking about the gelato shop that has over 100 flavors?? I walked so far just to go there again! IT was amazingggggggggg

I did Italy in one of those Contiki tours and really now that I think about it I was in Rome, Florence and Venice for 2 1/2 days each.... In Rome we saw everything you have listed and then some because we were constantly moving. We did the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, the Vatican tour, St. Peter's and the Coliseum and Roman Forum, Palantine Hill all in two days and some museums that I can't remember the name of right now. If you and Michael can stick to an itinierary you will be fine. A lot of those things are really just what I call 'drive by' locations and don't require much time. I'm going to take a look for my Italy stuff and let you know exactly what we did and how it was mapped out.
e!!
And I only texted you 20 minutes ago to tell you I was responding to this!!! LOL!!!
I did a contiki tour to italy too!!

I know you have a lot of places on your list already but heres something your Fh might like...its theThe Capuchin Crypt ...I think its a church decorated with the bones of monks...its something different and should be a quick stop. I stayed in a hotel down the block from it and didnt get a chance to see it.

It's this booze made by the monks in Florence. Normally they just put a drop our two down your throat and it feels like your neck is going to burst into flames but our tour guide POURED the stuff into FH's mouth. New Years was all down hill after that...

I believe it... FH was peeing off of the Michaelangelo bridge in the middle of the night along with some of the other fine young men on our trip... It was a proud moment for me...

Re: girls who have been to italy
Your schedule is really tight...you are not allowing anytime for waiting which can happen even if you buy your tickets in advance which often requires an extra fee. We went to Italy for our honeymoon and realized that things do not move as fast there as they do here. I would allow some flexibility...It is hard when you have a limited time and there is so much to see.

FH has done three... He did Italy with me, an Eastern European with stupid FBIL and their friend and then Western Europe right when we first met. He loves them too... I would like them better if they let me sleep later

Re: girls who have been to italy
it is completely ok that you hijacked my thread
and im going to check out their itinerary now!
i think the only thing im slightly worried about as of now are the lines-
i know michael won't want to look at every piece of art-i have a feeling we'll be more of a browser type, spending some more time around the bigger sights
and i added in the trevi fountain-i figured we would do it at night
