I am at a total loss about this. Did you put parents names on it? Did you leave them off? Is it fair to put both set of parents names on it when one set never got involved with the wedding? I just don't know the right answer to this? Thanks for your help!!

Re: Girls who have done Invitations
I added in both sets of parents. Even though..
* My father is deceased * DH's parents are divorced * DH's Father is also deceased * My mom gave us some $ but majority we paid for. *MIL didn't contribute to the wedding
we worded it as..
'you are invited to the wedding of
Adriana L. daughter of Mrs. Diana S. & the late Mr. Peter S.
to
Steven E. son of Mrs. Cecelia W. & the late Mr. Bruce W.

Re: Girls who have done Invitations
we are not putting our parents names on the invitations since we are paying for the wedding ourselves. I think we might do something like:
Bride and Groom along with their parents, blah blah blah blah

Re: Girls who have done Invitations
It is up to you.
Are you having your wedding in a church? Are you and FH paying for most of it or all of it?
I put my parents names even though we are paying for the majority of the wedding....because of tradition. We didn't put his parent's names because they are both passed away.

The ceremony will be in a church and we are paying for the majority of the wedding. FH and I keep going back and forth on this. Thank you for all your input girls.

Re: Girls who have done Invitations
We are paying for the wedding ourselves so we did not want to put 'together with their parents' or anything else that might imply that they paid. However it was important to us that they were on the invites, so we chose this....

Yeah we're in the same boat lol. I think I might just go with this. Think after the grooms name I should say with his parents or is that a big no-no?

Re: Girls who have done Invitations
I feel its disrespectful to leave the parents off even if we are paying most of the wedding ourselves and my parents and his parents would have been upset so we put both parents on the invites no biggie everyones happy.

are his parents the ones that are not involved.. ask FH if he would like them on the invite or include them if you think they will get offended...
