who had more people show - your side of the family for FH?
Since the wedding is so far from my friends and family my mom thinks maybe a whopping 5-7 people will come from our side which means 120 people will be there for FH!!
I knew this when we booked but.. now I think I might feel a little upset about this on the day of. Anyone experience this??

I have the smallest family .. so small in fact that Im going to have an issue when it comes time for the seating chart because my twin sister and my mother do not speak so I have to separate them which means I may be having my sister sit with my friends ... Other than my twin sister, its my mother and her husband, brother and gf and younger sister and bf, two aunts and two cousins.... thats it!

i have a reasonably large family but those are all 2nd and 3rd cousins and obviously I'm not inviting every person related to me.
FH is Latin...need I go on. lol
so basically, he will have way more people.

DH had 10 no shows and I had 3, but my brother quickly filled my open spots with his friends. However, there was a death a week before our wedding and that was part of the reason for so many no shows on DH's side.

My family is huge... Shauns family is very big also... even including extended family, 2nd cousins, and all that (which he is close to so we can justify inviting them)... he still doesnt equal my side...
The reason i chose July is because my family from Vegas, Cali & Wisconsin come to NY then and i wanted them to be able to come without too much of an extra expense...

DH had 7 tables and I had 5... His 7 tables were packed to capacity, and my 5 tables had a lot of missing people lol. He has a MUCHHH bigger family than I do. I only had 2 family tables, technically 1 1/2 because we stuck some family friends there also. The other 3 tables were friends, co-workers and family friends. I was upset about it at first but at the same time, I'm happy because I love the fact that DH's family is big because they're my family now too and I love them all.

At my engagement party it was almost all his side... I had about one or two tables worth, meanwhile his side had about 10. At first it was overwhelming and I was a little upset over it. but then i got used to it and it was no big deal.
