girls who have not mailed invites

Take it from me, if they need to be hand cancelled, stand at the post office until they hand cancel every one infront of you!!! I brought mine in yesterday and the woman said to leave them because they couldn't do them right away. After offering to do them and making her promise they would get done...

Today I get in the mail...a torn right corner of an envelope with the stamps on it, and the back portion of the envelope with mine and FH's return address and a letter from the postal service apologizing that one of the invites was destroyed. There is no invitation and no part of the envelope with the person's name or address so I have no idea who is not receiving an invite now. Wait, until I go to the post office tomorrow morning, just wait! I don't even know what to do! I am so flippin mad!

FH is taking ours tomorrow. I just told him not to leave until he SEES them getting hand cancelled!!!! Thanks for the heads up!

I would try to go to a place that lets you do them. I went to the Woodbury post office and they let me do them myself and then I brought back a few more today and the guy stamped them in front of me.

we were able to stamp them ourselves but, somewhere along the lines some one screwed up b/c some guest didnt get an invitation... Sorry that happend to you

I had mine hand cancelled but the PO lady told me everything runs through the machine anyways....frustrating the woman lied to you but not sure the machine is unavoidable unfortunately....

So, I went back to the PO this morning and asked the same woman and she said they were hand cancelled and then they got put through a sorting machine....

She apologized and there is nothing she can do. It turns out I work with the woman who's invite it was and she was hysterical this morning, she brought it in to show me. The ribbon was completely gone, the response envelope, gone, and she received the same letter from the post office about how they mail over 12 million letters a year, and mistakes happen...I just hope everyone else gets theirs in one piece!
