Girls who have or are using a String Quartet...

What songs did you use for the ceremony? Any suggestions for cocktail hour?

I'm super excited about working with the Vintage String Quartet but have no idea where to being with music. I seem to like everything.

We used them and they were great! For the ceremony we used Jesu man of a womans dressing (I think) for the bridal party entrance) and canon in D for my entrance...for our exit they played bittersweet symphony which was really nice

prior to the ceremony and during the cocktail we gave them some types of music that we like and had them be creative in their playing...they are really good and unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy them as much as I would havel iked...tooo busy

you have LOTS of time before you narrow this down. About a month or a couple of weeks before Andrew will email you a site where you could go listen to music and make some decisions.

i am hoping to have them play air on a G string while people are walking in, along with some instrumental Phish song (for FH!). my bridesmaids are walking down to Jesu Joy of Man's Desring and i am walking down to Canon in D

i am thinking about walking out to Trumpeter's prayer.

i am also thinking about having them play the theme from Cinema Paradiso during the lighting of the unity candle

I plan on using one but haven't booked it yet.

Did they provide you with song lists? I bet you can ask for a list of songs they normally play at the ceremony/cocktail hours to get ideas.

You're right, I do have time....I guess I'm just feeling a little calm and needed to find something to 'worry' about VSQ has been wonderful thus far, I'm sure all will be great!
