If you actually got to the point of swapping it out for another dress how did that work... I've been looking at my dress a lot and I think I'm bored with it....

Re: Girls who started doubting their dresses....
If you are having doubts, go back to the salon and try it on. I wasn't feeling my dress for a bit - thought I made too quick of a decision, but when I went back to retry, fell in love all over again.
If you still aren't 100% feeling it, try to see what you think is missing. You can always an accessory to add some oompf, such as a crystal belt or brooch, or sash.
Good luck!

Re: Girls who started doubting their dresses....
I didn't like my dress for the longest time. i trusted myself though... and i kept it.... i knew i picked it for a reason.
i didnt figure out the reason until the week of. it was the perfect dress for me.
i did revamp and change some things on the dress.... i sweethearted the neckline. added a sash with a twist, added a bunch of hand sewn crystals to the top. And I was super picky with my bustle.
you picked it for a reason.... think about what it is that bothers you about the dress... and alter it to your taste. its sooo much more fun to customize it to be EXACTLY YOU!!!

Re: Girls who started doubting their dresses....
i doubted my dress the whole time i was waiting for it to come in (6 months). after about 4 months of going back and forth, i talked to my friend who got married a few years ago, and she said that she had the same problem! like me, she kept looking at other dresses (not in person- online, in mags, etc), and wondering if it was 'the one' or if there was a still one out there that would have been better, more like what she thought she wanted originally, etc etc. But then she said that when her dress finally came in, and she put it on, she realized that she did love it after all, and she picked it for a reason. Just hearing that, made me feel a lot better! Then when my dress came in December and I went to see it, I was so happy and relieved!!! i still loved it and it looked great on me. Don't doubt yourself... you picked it for a reason!!!

I was about to rush order another dress last week, but decided that something drew me to this one to begin with and that I've always had luck with my first decisions...let's hope this is true this time too...

You really don't like your dress anymore? Its so different and beautiful and dramatic!!! I think a lot of us start doubting. Sometimes I wish I could get another one, but then I think about how the dress made me feel compared to all the others I tried on. Can you add something to the dress? Maybe you just need to change it a little. Maybe some more sparkle?

I really like your dress. What is it about the dress that you don't like?

Your dress came out perfect with the changes. I was just looking at your albums. Nice work!

Re: Girls who started doubting their dresses....
I actually only tried on about 10 or so dresses. I am the worst when it comes to shopping, as I can try on 15 pairs of jeans and not find a single pair I like so I figured it would take me forever to find a dress. When I tried my dress on, I didn't want to take it off and I ordered it like a week later. After that I didn't go into another store or look at dresses online as I figured this would just make me second guess so why bother. Just recently I started looking online and thinking if maybe I should have tried on different style dresses then what I have, but I'm leaving it as it is. If you don't mind loosing the money, then I say go for it. I would go back and try it on again though before you change it.

OMG!!!! YOur dress was my dream dress. I wish I could have afforded it. I had to settle for a less expensive Maggie that looked similar.

Re: Girls who started doubting their dresses....
I got rid of my first dress. I posted a while back, FH saw a dress a lot like my first one and said it was horrible, looked like an old lady, etc. If I had picked another dress from the same shop they probably would have worked with me (I had already put down 50%) but they wouldn't give me an appointment that day . . . So I went somewhere else, found a dress I loved (that was more my style) and bought it on the spot and wound up losing my 1st dress's deposit.
I did deduct the 1st dress's deposit cost from what I was willing to spend on the 2nd dress because I didn't want to blow my dress budget. My first dress was significantly less money than I was willing to spend. I am very happy with my 2nd dress and don't doubt it at all.
By the way, I never doubted my first dress, it was only because of FH's comments that I got a new dress. There was no way I could wear it after what he said!

aww thanks so much!!! i think i actually started doubting it so much when i realized how popular it is... like how many other people are using the same dress. but i mean, how many people at the actual wedding will have seen it before? probably no one. i guess that's just kind of part of my insecurities surrounding it though...
