I don't wear makeup but I want to start wearing some now so I don't look totally different on my wedding day.... Can you suggest the makeup you use and a website that can teach me how to apply makeup on.? TIA
the best way to learn is to do a makeup application at macys, sephora or another dept. store. i learned there and they teach you to wear it w/o looking like you are wearing it but give you the tips to change your look for evening, etc.

I am a horror when it comes to make-up. I went to Sephora and the girl there gave me a quick tutorial for the Bare Minerals or whatever its called...well as lame as I am I am able to do my make-up quick and run out the door in the am

I would experiment with neutral tones, maybe a shade or 2 darker than ur skin tone for eyeshadow and some mascara...
apply what you feel comfortable with

i use mostly lancome...some nars, have used some chanel
alot of sites and magazines show how to do make up. Also ask when you go to a trial

you could go to sephora and ask them for help and suggestions. The website might have some too.
i've used less makeup as i get older (ironic) but I like bare minerals (hate the brushes though, they shed no matter what) because you barely feel it on your face.
Also like Stila and Lancome pressed powder, when i wear mascara it's either lancome or neutrogena, eyeshadow is nars.
on my lips i usually wear vaseline or rosebud salve OR hard candy lip gloss (which smells really yummy)
here's a site that has some product reviews and tips on how to apply. Be warned that she has her own product line so i get leery that she is self promoting. some of her reviews are interesting though
I would totally recommend Bare Escentuals to someone who isnt using makeup. Its like wearing make up without actually having any on!! Check out the site! And its all minerals so its not harsh. And they have a whole DVD that shows you ow to apply it. LOL I sounds like an infomercial!

Like the other girls suggested...I would go to a make-up counter at a department store and have a consultation. Just tell the beauty advisor that you are looking for some makeup and if they can show you how to apply it. Most cosmetic counters require a 3 product minimum purchase with the consultation. There are so many different types of foundation: liquid with different coverages, powder & cream. So I think it's best to speak to someone in a store because they can give you exactly what you are looking for.

I use mostly NARS (for face), maybeline mascara, cover girl blush.... I would go to sephora/ dept counter & try out some different types... It really depends how the different make up reacts with your skin...

Another vote here for Bare Minerals. The video tutorial that comes with the Starter Kit will help you - it's really easy anyway.
