Hello ladies. I know I've asked before but I need more opinions. Have any of you gotten married at the RH and did pictures AFTER the ceremony. I keep going back and forth with this.
I am considering taking pictures AFTER the ceremony during the cocktail hour, and making it a one and a half hour cocktail hour (my RH will not charge extra for it).
Then, taking formal portraits during the salad portion of the reception.
I know this seems a little crazy, but my family is giving me a REALLY hard time about seeing FH before the ceremony. Plus I'm not entirely comfortable with it.
So, anyone who did this, please let me know how it turned out. THANK YOU!
EDITED: I forgot to mention that FH and I are planning to miss the cocktail hour, so that is not a big deal.

Re: Girls Who Were Married at RH - Pictures
I think you will still miss part or all of the cocktail hour. I'm taking pics before ceremony (which is at RH) and my photographer wants to start 2 hours before ceremony. Mostly because I want to hide as soon as the guests arrive. FH & I will still have the moment when we see each other for the 1st time and the photographer will be able to capture it up close rather than from far away at the ceremony.

I am having EXACTLY the same problem. Except I don´t know if my RH will charge extra for 1/2 more on the cocktail hour. That is a good option. I would love to hear the opinion of other brides.

I like this idea. We can get some of the pics out of the way first and then we wont´miss too much of the cocktail hour!! I´m glad this topic came up. I wouldn´t have thought to put it in but I do need the advice!!

Re: Girls Who Were Married at RH - Pictures
we are getting married at rh and have decided to take pictures before the ceremony. we feel that we will need more than an hour to take our pictures. we are paying for this wedding and want to enjoy every second of it
A close friend of mine did photos after the ceremony.....it was a desaster! She not only lost her CH she missed part of her party. She was also stressed out the whole time. I was a BM, I felt so bad for her. Do yourself a favor see him prior & get it done so you can enjoy one of the most important days in your life. I doing just that, seeing FH prior. I don't care what anyone says, I'm not going to be stressed out on my wedding day.

We are getting married at a church....but we are taking pictures before hand. You still will have that moment when you first see each other and I feel like I will feel and remember walking down the aisle so much more because I will not be as nervous because I already have seen FH. It is still going to be emotional . We are paying for everything ourselves I do not want to miss a second.

Did your friend originally plan on attending the CH? Also, how much time was there in between the ceremony ending and the reception starting? THANK YOU!
