Girls who wrote out their addresses on invites...

I thought of this, my handwriting could look quite nice if I really take my time but I'm nervous. Did you use any of those calligraphy kits or just winged it? Do you have a technique for writing straight (this is my biggest issue I've noticed, lol)

I'm nervous about printing them bc my printer is old and smudges every once in a while and that would be a lot of added up wasted envelopes. Plus I read it's proper etiquette for them to be handwritten.

what did you do for the return address? put it in the left upper corner as usual or on the back?

Any special pen recommendations? lol

I haven't sent my invites but I hand wrote my STD's

I used a uni-ball pen from Staples ( $8) and just winged it.
my envelopes were self addressed.

For your invites though, I think the back envelop flap for the return address prob looks a bit fancier but I am not sure what envelope etiquette dictates lol


My advice: find a nice quiet place, a hard clean surface take your time and go for it!

With my invites I got this cardboard thing that had thick black lines on it that you put inside the envelope to write a straight line. They gave me extras...so if you don't get one, I can always mail one out to you. Also, I just winged it...I used a pen that I am most comfortable writing with, and just took my time with it. Not each one is the same b/c my handwriteing does change, but it's good enough. LOL. If people don't like it then they don't have to come... LOL
