Girls with Bands....(music, not rings)

Ok, FH are wondering about entrance songs...

Here's what I mean, specifically.

I am assuming most people will be having their BP introduced as they enter...

This being said, there will obviously be music playing while this is all happening.

So, what I want to know is, are you having your band play the instrumental version of a song, or are you having them play the MP3 of song (meaning, they don't play it live), and having the MC introduce everyone??

No way - if i'm paying all that money - they are learning the damn song and figuring it out! I want J-Lo's on the floor for the bparty entrance - I'm having nightmare thinking about this - but the bands have to know what's popular and figure it out!

Ok, I'm in complete agreement. However, isn't the MC the band leader? Who are you gonna have introduce the BP??

LOL Sorry!! In most bands, not everyone sings ALL at once. Like there are some people that don't sing specific songs because it's not in their range, etc.

So the person who isn't singing will be introducing!

Ok that's what I figured. I just know that our bandleader is the MC, and I know he obv can't do both, so I just hope the person that does the intro's is upbeat and lively.

agreed! They usually will do a bridge or something where it's instrumental in the song when they start announcing!

YAY - they're amazzzing!!

We booked them because of the reputation HL has. Both FH and I were very nervous about this decision, because a) band is SO major and b) they're one of our most costly vendors.

I sure hope they don't disappoint!!

I was between HL and my band that I chose - I know they know what they are doing. My sister used HL years ago and everyone loved it!
