...Be careful if you have the calphalon utensils with grip anywhere handles....The handles MELT!! My parents bought the spoon after my mother saw it on my registry...well, my father used it to make pasta, and when he went to stir the pasta in the pot the handle started to melt!! Be very careful with these utensils if you are going to use them around anything involving heat!! No one likes to eat rubber with their food!!!

I have a lot of the OXO utensils and they're great. I only have a few Calphalon utensils on my registry, but they're all wooden spoons. I love my OXO stuff!

its best to get something with silicon because it can withstand heat up to 500 degrees
