Girls with dogs???

Girls with dogs???

So I mentioned that about 2 weeks ago FH and I got a puppy.....he is too great!!! Anyway, my sister and brother in law actually asked to watch him while FH and I are on our HM....we are appreciative for that....lot less worrying knowing our little guy is with family. However for the day before the wedding and the day of, of course my sister cannot watch him. We need a place for him to stay for those 2 nights. Do any of you have any recommendations for a great boarding place? We are in Ronkonkoma, but would go anywhere if it is a good place. TIA

any info would be helpful....west islip is not far...i just would like some recommendations rather than trying out a place with none....he is like our baby as I am sure you know....so it is a little upsetting to even have to bring him anywhere at this point

My friend Lauren is a petsitter. She'll come to your house and do an initial interview (so you can meet her and the puppy can meet her). She'll stay at the house, play with him, take him for walks, etc.

I can give you her number if you want.

I've known her most of my life, so it's not just an acquaintance.

You can try Petsmart in Hungtinton. We use them whenever we go away. They have a Pets Hotel all the way in the back of their store. Your dog will need all his shots before they can take him. They are a little pricey but they're very clean. And you can also buy play time and socializing with other dogs. My dogs didn't want to come home when we went to pick them up.

Re: Girls with dogs???

we're going with a place called running paws out in the city. I dont know if thats too far for you but they're great! We use them for doggie day care and buddy will be boarded there when we get married too. If you're going with a boarding facility I would ask what vaccines your dog will need.

Cozy Noses on Locust Ave. in Bohemia.

eta: Unfortunately, I think you might have a hard time getting your dog in anywhere... 4th of July weekend fills up SUPER fast.

We're leaving our dog at Pet Wellness Center in Plainview that weekend and I'm pretty sure they still have openings available.
