Girls with Elbow Length or Other Shorter Veils

So I went and picked up my veil today from bridal reflections carle place. And im a little weirded out cause its SOO long. I ordered a two-tier elbow length. Now im a short girl, but seriously this veil is like down to my knees. The seamstress said they will alter it when I come in for my fitting (i got my dress their too) but still it weirds me out. I had such a problem finding a veil to begin with and I really don’t love the one I ordered and ill prob take it off right after the ceremony. I just want to make sure that when I go in and they alter it it will end up the way I want. Is that normal for it to be so long??

Elbow length is a general term, but when you have it placed at the top of you head, it should be more or less ELBOW length. If it's much longer, it's likely they ordered you fingertip length.

ETA: although, don't worry, they can make it shorter.

did you try it on at the store? It should be the same length. sounds like its fingertip length

They will probably have you put it on, hold a boquet and measure how far it reaches till it hits the top of the flowers. At least thats how my guy did it.
If you dont mind my asking..how much did you pay at Bridal Reflections??
I got a 2 tiered elbow length veil too so Im just curious at what they go for.

yeah, mine is an elbow length too and it definately seems longer than my elbows. I guess I try to imagine that it'll be a few inches shorter once it's placed on the top of my head Either way, I wouldn't worry too much.

yeah i did try it on but not with my dress or shoes. but it was REALLY long. they said they will alter it at the time they altered my dress. it cost $380 which is way more than i wanted to pay (i wanted to go to barrons) but my mom insisted on just buying it from there so i can have it altogether with my dress and tiara which i bought there too..
