my fh is doing amazing academically but struggling with the physical stuff.
he comes home all worked up and stressed out everynight, its crazy what they do to them!
i hope i'm not the only one here!
it's a hard 6 months but I'm so proud of him for sticking to it and trying his best. I can't wait to actually say I'm a cop's wife hehe

mine is about to go into the nassau county corrections academy in oct. They do the same training the cops do. He has been stressing about the physical part of it also. I hope your FH is able to work it out

my FH went through the nassau county police academy two years ago...
it was so hard mentally and physically.. i felt so bad but it came to an end, and then I was so proud of him :)
encourage ur FH (i know u prob already do!) but it helps.. i think

FH is doing great i'm missing him like crazy but this week he's been on days cause they are learning how to drive the police car he passed his first test and he just passed the driving the police cars. I cant wait till the academy is over Iv been picking him up at 1am and weekends he's always studying but he loves it soo im happy .

my ex-fiance failed the psychological portion of the NYPD test......that should have been a huge sign to get out of that relationship and that he's just plain crazy

my fiance was in the july 2008 academy class. it was really hard on him emotionally and physically. it's a lot of hard work and def takes a toll on the relationship. we barely saw each other. you just have to keep reminding them that you are so proud of them and that it will all be worth it in the end. the graduation was amazing - i cried so much! i wish all of your fiance's the best of luck and hang in there ladies

my FH was in the NYPD for awhile but he resigned
i remember how hard the physical was...and my FH is a big boy! so it was reallllly hard on him...but he made it!
just support him and know its temporary!

FH is doing amazing! So proud of him! We don't have much time together anymore but its only for a little while... I will say that he does come home exhausted.. He is up at 4am and doesnt get home till like 7pm

My FH is also in the academy....he is doing really well. He just passed the JST test (the jumping over the wall) but he wasn't really concerned because he passed the assessment in the beginning. Academics he is doing fine...he got hid bachelors in crimincal justice which I think has helped him because he scored in the 90s on the 1st trimester test and I don't think he studied that much. His hardest thing for him is the run but I know he will do fine.
I am so proud of him but I miss him like crazy. We use to see eachother all the time and now during the week it is so much less plus when school starts for me again it will be even less but I jsut keep reminding myself its only 6 months they have already been in for like 6 weeks so time is flying.

I guess it's a good thing FH & I live together, otherwise it's true I wouldnt see him at all. He gets up at 4, I drive him to the train and then he doesn't get home until almost 6pm! all he wants to do is eat and go right to sleep. It will all be worth it after these 6 months and i cannot wait until his graduation. i will be so proud

FH is going to take the NYPD exam next week. He took it years ago and never got the call so he joined the army and the day he signed his contract is the day he heard from the NYPD but it was already too late well now he wants to do it and I'm sure he'll do awesome after being in the army for 3+ years this shouldn't be half as bad lol. I'm a nurse at the jail, but I do all of the vaccines that we off for the new recruits

my FH been through 2 academies one NYC one Nassau where he is now. he isnt in the academy now so I guess i dont count lol I can tell you its redic though. the physical aspect of it is too much!

My fiance finished the NYPD police academy in 2004, I believe. It was a long and grueling process, but he made it through with flying colors. He just recently passed the sergeant's exam and is on the list to be promoted.
All of the cop wives and soon-to-be cop wives should start a group! It's definitely an interesting club to be in.

I totally agree. It's def not your typical 9-5 job. Example: FH got an arrest Sat and instead of coming home at 9am, he comes home at 4pm when straight to bed, got up at 9pm and left for work at 930pm.
It's always a changing schedule. Many people laugh when they ask when is he off and i'm like... 'wait, let me count' LOL
