I use Pantene Pro V 'Sleek and Shiny' conditioner. Have been for the last 5 years now. I use whatever shampoo is cheap, usually VO5

I've heard any 'colored' or whiter shampoos aren't good for anyone with thinner hair since it will weigh the hair shaft down. When I've used Pantene and Garnier Fructis (since I just got a sample), I do find that my hair just sort of lies there. My hair is thin. I definitely need some sort of gel lifter to help it along.

It's interesting to see we all have the same problem. I used Neutrogena forever, but it strips the color and oils from your hair, or at least that's what my hair dresser told me when I complained that my hair was dull. She said to only use it once in a while to get rid of the build up on my hair. I can't even use hair spray because it's too heavy for my hair. No mousse, no gel, no pomade. If I put ANYTHING in my hair, it sticks to my head. So far herbal essesnces works the best for me.

Rachel: I use Neutrogena once a week too, that is about it for me because it does strip your hair down but I think I get better volume from my regular shampoo once I use that.

Real Simple Magazine backs Neutrogena Clean Volume - I REALLY like that brand, I've been using it since before the Mag backed it.
I also like the Bath and Body Works line, called Bio. They have something called Root Lifter that's REALLY great.

Since my hair is so fine and thin, I find the best way to keep it is short, which hubby doesn't like. I keep it above my shoulders and I find that I get the most body that way. I have the Christina Applegate hairdo of the sort which I need to go back and get trimmed.
