Thats exactly what we did! we like it so far! I dont like how the prices change drastically based on the sales..so when we registered our china was very reasonably priced...now its not on sale and its pricey! grr...other than that i like macys very much!

Re: girls with macys registry

WE did this as well. I need most of my bedding there. They have a bigger selection than BBB. I will say that the BBB registering experience was way better than my experience at Macys. JMO. I recommend doing both! HTH!

Re: girls with macys registry

I really like it for the most part.... EXCEPT the fact that our every day dishes were discontinued, so now we're running around trying to buy everything out of the stores before it's gone!

Re: girls with macys registry

I have both BBB and Macys, and for most things I like BBB better. Right now we're using Macy's for our bedding, a towel collection, and some auxiliary china pieces. I don't like how you don't reap any rewards or completion discount unless you open up a Macy's card, and that their every day prices are so much higher than BBB. I would create both registries, but only use Macy's for things that absolutely cannot be done at BBB.

Re: girls with macys registry

I have both Macy's and Bed Bath and beyond registries. I am happy with both stores. I have somethings on my Macy's registry that are special order from Bed bath and beyond- Both stores have their pros and cons but overall I am happy with them.

Re: girls with macys registry

I have registries at both -

Which Macy's would you go to? If you live near the South Shore mall, I've got a registry consultant at macy's to give you! FM me if you want her name! She's awesome.

Re: girls with macys registry

I went to Macys when Fortunoffs closed because they were the only ones that had my Waterford pattern. But most everything I want BBB carries, so we only got a few odds and ends at Macys. We also did Sears for tool type stuff and our kitchen stools. I am not super impressed with Macys, but I haven't had a problem with them either.

Re: girls with macys registry

I love my Macys registry because everything goes on sale ALL THE TIME. So while yes they go drastically on sale and then it goes up but then it FLIES right back down. And I know EVERY woman already knows that and most women have Macy's coupons as well so Im not really worried about it.

PLUS you get GREAT incentives, when people buy your sets of lets say China, you get a free piece. AND if YOU have a Macys card, YOU earn FREE 5x cash back rewards EVERYTIME someone buys something OFF the registry ITS AWESOME!

My friend just had her bridal shower and went to Macys afterwards to collect her 5x cash back reward card, she got a gift card for $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND when you go to purchase stuff off your registry that wasnt bought, you get 10% off!

So I PERSONALLY love it! =)

Re: girls with macys registry

I recommend, if you have a macys card you get like rewards when people buy off your registry. Also, when I signed up they gave me a bag and seriously they have a sale like every other week it feels like its soo worth it

Re: girls with macys registry

i have to say that macys is really a pleasure to deal with. they are so helpful with everything, and they even take returns of registry items which were not purchased at macys! i wish i would have put everything on at macys....especially since Fortunoff tanked right b4 my shower =(

Re: girls with macys registry

I did what many stated above, I have a larger amount on BBB, but registered for my bedding and luggage and some little extras from Macys.
90% Macy's is on sale and when it's not it's a pretty big difference...just hope nobody pays the full price. My luggage on sale was 199, for one large piece and when not on sale it skyrockets to 400! Luckily someone bought the stuff when it was on sale, I would have felt terrible

overall no problems I've had!

Re: girls with macys registry

Did any of you register for a down comforter at Macy's? We want something luxurious. What do you recommend? Thanks.
