How many of you are completely besides yourself worrying about your baby(ies) while you are on your honeymoon?
We will be in Hawaii for 2 weeks, and although my girlfriend is staying here to watch them, I feel so sad wondering if they will think we left them, or be depressed
Am I the only sicko?

My parents are watching our dog and cat. They have watched them before, and they totally spoil them both. The pets miss us, but don't seem to mind too much.

Awww...I know how you feel. They'll be in good hands though.
My dog stays at my parents (until we buy our house) but she is very moody and I'm concerned that day b/c after the ceremony my parents will have to drive all the way out to Eastern Suffolk to feed her & let her out & then drive back to the reception. She won't let anyone in (neighbors or such) to feed her or if she let them in (she's a barker) she wouldn't eat (until my parents returned home). I'm already stressing about how to handle it. I don't want my parents running all over the island that day

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I am SO AFRAID of that. But, a good friend of mine says doggies really have no concept of time, so it makes me feel better. The longest I have been away from them is 6 days. I think I will miss them more then they miss us. I always torture myself. LOL
i love my new pup she's my baby, but my parents will most likely take care of her while we are away!!

I hear ya! FI and I just came back from Vegas (vacation), I missed my dogs everyday I was there! .. and we were only there for 4 days
I am going to miss them sooo very much when we go on honeymoon. I won't have to worry about them, because my mom will be watching them for me and I can't ask for a better sitter ... but I sure will miss my babies!!

Oh, I hear you. When we first got our dog and had to put her in doggie day care, the minute the cruise ship pulled in, I called the place to make sure she was okay. Now that I have two who love each other very much and we also have a pet sitter who stays with them the whole time, I know they'll be in good hands. But I cannot wait to come back to see them!!!!

You are not crazy. I think I am. Being I don't really know anyone where I live who will come to take care of my Simba (cat), I've made reservations for him to say at the new PetsHotel at PetSmart in Huntington. They just had a grand opening a few weeks and I went and reserved a kittie cottage for my baby for 10 days !!! I know for a fact, he's going to be petrified, but I have no choice. They promised to give him lots of love and affection, but he's a true scardy cat. It's true that animals really don't have any concept of time, so what's 10 days for us, won't feel as long for them, I hope so anyway. He's going to hate me and that breaks my heart because I love him like a child, so I'm really the sicko here. I plan on packing all the things that are familiar to him and even an old sweatshirt of mine so he'll feel close to me even though I'm not there. So don't feel bad, we're all in the same boat. !!

OH MY GOD....I thought I was the only one. My wedding is 5 months away and the only thing that is making me sick to my stomach is that I have to leave more poor little dog behind...I swear if I could I would take him. My FMIL will be watching him...I feel SO bad so NO honey you are not alone and definitely not crazy.

I will miss my babies Lucy and Ceci! But I have a really good friend they are staying with that always watches them whenever we go away so I know they are in good hands and they are used to her whenever we're not around... they are also friends with her three dogs...
I feel your pain! I hate leaving my cats. When we went to Miami, I called my brother, who was looking after them, EVERY DAY!

You're not crazy. Pets become like your children and you worry about all the time. I'm sure they will be fine though.

You have every right to be worried! My fiance and I still have to find a place for out baby too! They do have professional sitters for pets out there and they have places to bring them too.

We've left our cat Kaspurr before - we have my dad come over at night to feed him and fill his water bowl. Kaspurr still gets terrible separation anxiety though. When we're away, even if it's only for a weekend, he hardly eats at all and when we come home, he meows like crazy and doesn't let us out of his sight! FH usually has to stand next to him so he'll eat!

AWW!! My mom told me that our dogs sat on the stairs staring at the door all day waiting for us to come home!
