How did your stylist get your hair curly (bouncy curls) for your trial or wedding?? My curls dont last!

I had Japanese Hair Straightened hair and w/a lot of hairspray and product, my curls stayed in for about 8+ hrs. Towards the VERY end of the night, they started coming a little loose.
The hairstylist is a pro and should have no problem making it stay curly. If they didn't and the curls loosened, they're not using enough product and may not have done something right.
