but I also wanna know.. did you or are you going to cover yours? if your bm's have them are you going to ask them to cover theirs?
my moh has a few, but they're all hidden (like mine), but she just got a new one over the weekend.. I already asked my other BM to cover hers, but I don't think my moh CAN cover hers because they take a while to heel. do you think anyone will notice a star on her wrist? FILs do NOT like tattoos or piercings- AT ALL... so I wanted my bm/moh to cover theirs out of respect to my FILs... but at the same time... if I had any that were exposed, I don't think I'd want to cover mine.

I would not and did not ask any of my BM's with tats to cover them. I love them for who they are and would not ask them to change just because someone else is not a fan.
My FIL's have tattoos themselves (none exposed) so that's def not a big deal for them. My parents are probably the 'stiffer' ones when it comes to tats - weren't please when my brother and I got ours, but still...
I have one in the middle of my back, but my dress will cover it. It was a personal preference when I got it that I did not want mine to be exposed.

DH's family doesn't like tats. Religious reasons. TOO BAD. One of mine showed, as did both of my BM's. My sister has a lot - including a star on her wrist (coincidence!) - and whatever was visible, was visible.
The fact of the matter is, people who are there should be focusing on a hell of a lot more than some ink on BMs. But I know how families can be and I am just in the 'don't give a fkn sh!t about these sorts of issues/there are bigger fish to fry' club.
I wouldn't and didn't ask anyone to cover their ink. But if your BMs are receptive to it, then that's cool. It sounds like they are...I'd suggest either Dermablend (Macy's) or Kat Von D's cover up (Sephora). I don't know if the girl with the new tattoo could cover hers since it's fresh...she should ask her tattoo artist about that one.

I didnt ask anyone to cover their tats... as far as i know only 1 of my bms had a visible tatoo and she sat up on the alter with me...
even if i asked... my bm and gm that switched woud hav ruined my plan lol

I have no pics of mine- I have a red rose with a butterfly on it on my calf and a ankle bracelet with hearts and flowers. I wont need to cover these but if I did I wouldnt. My MOH tats wont show either and if they did I wouldnt aske her to cover hers either

I don't think any of my BMs had tattoos showing really. Well two of them had tattoos on their feet/ankles but that's hardly noticeable.
My tattoo was more noticeable. MIL wanted me to cover it up, but I love it and it's not offensive or anything. It's a friggin celtic knot heart for Christ's sake. How much more wedding appropriate can you get? lol!

I posted something like this on the 2011 board the other day. I have 2, one on my lower back that will be covered by my dress and the other one is a tribal band around my arm which will be exposed. I have been asked if i was planning on covering it up and i dont think i am. I love my tattoo. 1 of my BM's has a tattoo that might show at the wedding and i dont mind at all. I think tattoos are an expression of who you are as a person and they should be celebrated but i guess I could respect not wanting to offend anyone

I don't have pics, but I have 2 tattoos, one visible, one not visible, when I wear my dress. I do plan on having my makeup artist cover my tattoo because it is black and all faded and yucky looking. I'm doing it for me, not for anyone else. FILs do not like tattoos, but I don't care.
No one else in my bridal party has any that will be visible, but I wouldn't ask them to cover them if they did.

this is one foot, me, my sister (MOH) and cousin (BM) all have the same one
I have my other foot done too, I just don't have a pic
I didn't care about anyone showing any of their tattoo's because I was showing all of mine,

I have 2 tats that no one will be able to see. 1 BM has a tat that no one is going to see and another BM who has one on her shoulder. I really don't care. I love them for them and not their tats.

I think I may have caused some drama on the BHB board bc a bride wanted her BMs to cover up their tats, which I said I would be offended bc tats are a part of the person....but any who...here are mine:

This is on my lower abdomen, and I also have a wave on my back (tramp stamp). Neither of mine are visible. My bridesmaid has a bunch of pretty big ones, and I loved the way it looked. I love the way brides with tattoos look, too.
I have 2, one on my lower right hip & one on my left wrist (don't have pics on here). I did wear a thin diamond watch (it was my something borrowed from my mom) but it didn't completely cover it & when I moved my arm, it would slide off of the tat...I hope it's visible in some pics b/c I love my tats (even tho DH hates all tats )
4 of my BMs have tats, some big, some small...some visible, some not. I would never ask them to cover them up. My MOH has 5 tats, including a quarter sleeve.

I have 3- one each on my calfs and a crown on my foot, Also a monroe piercing. I would be pissed if someone asked me to cover them and I wouldnt ask any one to do it either. Teri is my MOH her back will be in full view, 2 other BMs have tats also. You chose your bridal party because those people are special to you, if body adornment was an issue I hope it was brought up to them when they were asked to be apart of the wedding or at least taken into consideration when the dress's were picked out. JMO
