Original post by LoveyDovey

do you wonder if you will regret your dress years from now in photos??

or do you think all wedding dresses become outdated at some time or another?

I think mine is more classic and my style than trendy....but who knows? Maybe I will look back in 20 years and say 'What was I thinking?'

My mom's dress from 1977 is simple and I used to think it was too hippie, but I love it now (and if I weighed 112 pounds, I might have worn it!)

exactly..same here-- my MOH said same thing about mine haha

... I don't think I would ever tire of looking at my dress. As my MOH said, it's such a 'Me' dress - I seriously couldn't think of wearing something else.

i dont have a dress yet, but this is something i've been thinking about...i think no matter what, dresses are going to look outdated, but the impt thing to remember is how you felt in the dress, that you loved it and it made you feel beautiful

Re: girls with 'trendy' wedding gowns

I thought I wanted something really classic and traditional, but I wound up feeling that they were boring. But I also didn't want something that was so trendy that I would hate it years from now. It ended up being that there were a lot of trends I didn't like. I wouldn't even try on dresses with ruffles, until the last place when I had tried on so many others that didn't do it for me that I was like, well I guess ruffles are pretty, it won't hurt to try a few. So I ended up with a dress with ruffles. I really don't know if I will think it's terribly outdated years from now, but I do know I will be comfortable and glowing in all my pics!

I did pretty much the exact same thing, I was running out of options bc i tried on so many dresses. I swore I would not get a ruffly dress bc i thought it was so trendy.
Well once i tried on one, i wanted to try 9879798797 ruffly dresses lol! and I ended up with one too.

I feel so amazing in my dress and its so comfortably...I guess like the others said, I will remember no matter what how I feltttt in the dress!

I dont know is mine i considered trendy it had a huge cathedral train with most of the train in blue but i dont think that i will regret it 20 years from now i didnt want an all white dress and I think my mothers dress was horrible but she still thinks that it was beautiful (cant figure out why it was 1983 and its puffy shoulders and lace arms) as long as you love your dress now i think you will love it forever
